• Account information — name, email, phone, and profile details you provide to Clerk when you sign up or sign in.
• Payment information — billing details, payout bank accounts, and tax identifiers are collected and stored by Stripe. We only retain Stripe customer and connected-account identifiers on our systems.
• Listing content — descriptions, photos, documents, and any information you submit about livestock you list for sale.
• Auction activity — bids you place, auctions you watch, and messages you exchange with other users through the platform.
• Technical data — IP address, device, and log data collected automatically so we can secure the site and investigate abuse.

• Operating auctions, processing payments, and settling sales between buyers and sellers.
• Verifying identity, preventing fraud, and enforcing our terms.
• Sending transactional notifications (bid updates, checkout reminders, payout alerts).
• Improving the service, including debugging and product analytics.

We share limited personal data with the service providers that run our platform: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments and payouts), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting), and our realtime and database hosting providers. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of The Stock Swap, our users, or the public.

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, and for longer where required by tax, accounting, or legal obligations.

You can update your profile at any time from your account dashboard, or close your account by contacting us. Residents of states or countries with additional privacy rights (such as California or the EU) may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information by emailing us.
